The Number Six Club is the only privately owned residence on campus. We, through our alumni organization, have privately owned this house since 1915. In the past hundred years, it has undergone several major rennovations and additions.
Located close to the center of Cambridge, on MIT's west campus, the Number Six Club offers a great and convenient summer location to live in. From the house, it is just a 5 minute walk to MIT's academic building or a 15 minute walk to Boston. Some of the rooms overlook the picturesque view of the Charles River that is quite a sight to behold in the lovely Boston summer, while the other rooms offer a view on the MIT campus. We are quite close to the heart of the city, but still offer a peaceful environment.
Our house has an open kitchen with oven and fridge space, laundry machines, a rooftop terrace, a BBQ in the garden, and spacious common areas with pianos, public iMacs, printers, a pool table and high-speed Wi-Fi. We offer multi-room or single-room singles and doubles.
Housing is available for the Fall and/or Spring semesters as well as IAP. All information can be found in this document.
The prices for the rooms during the semester are currently set at $4200 per semester and include furnished rooms as well as dinner on nights before school days.
Parking spots are available right in front of the house on a semesterly basis free of charge for residents. For non-residents, the parking fee is $500 per semester (negotiable if starting late).
